Tell Congress: No Free Pass for Fracking
Nationwide, the Bureau of Land Management estimates that 90 percent of new oil and gas wells on federal land are fracked. In their never-ending quest to bypass regulatory oversight, the oil and gas industry is trying to push a bill through the House of Representatives that would gut federal government review of fracking on our treasured public lands.
House Resolution 2728 would take away authority from the federal government and turn it over to the states — many of which don’t enforce existing rules.
Fracking poses enormous risks to our environment and public health.
