Glenelg river recipient of international river award
The Glenelg river runs from the Grampians National Park, in Victoria’s south-west, through south-eastern South Australia, and back into Victoria.
Conservation groups and over 600 landholders worked with the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management authority to carry out fencing along the river – and recently the CMA was awarded the 2013 Australian River Prize by the International River Foundation.
Adam Bester of the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority says the award is recognition for everyone involved involved in the project.
